Capital Campaign at Tyler's Justice Center

TYLER’S JUSTICE CENTER KICKOFFS BUILDING CAMPAIGN

STOCKTON, IL – Tyler’s Justice Center for Children, a child abuse agency serving Stephenson, Carroll and Jo Daviess counties in Illinois, hosted a public reception to announce and explain their plans to build a new facility to continue to help local victims.  The campaign kickoff presentation, held on April 18th at the Stewart Centre/US Bank at in Freeport, recognized existing donors and highlighted their fundraising accomplishments thus far.

Dozens of guests attended the event either out of curiosity or support for the cause. “Once you get involved with Tyler’s, you can’t walk away,” said Clarence Grant, a long-time supporter and volunteer for the Center.

Even though the organization has not publicly announced their plans to build before this event, fundraising for the project began quietly in September 2006.  Now, with more than $450,000 raised in donations, pledges and in-kind services, the capital campaign has reached more than 50 percent of their goal amount of $895,000.

“We are very excited to announce to the community that we are actively campaigning for a new building.  The donations and support we have received in the last six months since our fundraising began astounds me and I couldn’t be more proud of the volunteers and contributors who are helping us reach this goal.”
